Cryptosporidium/Giardia
Cryptonite™ & Cryptonite™ HV, hollow fiber modules are designed to concentrate and recover cryptosporidium & giardia from source water samples. Being our highest capacity module, Cryptonite™ HV will easily concentrate 10-liters of turbid source water. The recovery procedure for Cryptonite™ HV requires only 40 milliliters of elution buffer and can be performed in less than two minutes.
Additionally, Cryptonite™ (the standard unit) also offers the same capabilities but in a more compact platform. Standard Cryptonite™ offers an elution volume of less than 10mls and allows the ability to eliminate centrifugation prior to IMS.
The ability to efficiently recover with lower volumes and the additional capability to eliminate centrifugation offers substantial benefits over competitive concentration technologies.
